Self Care Saturday - How Do You Rest?

Happy Saturday! Hopefully this is a day off for you (if not, re-read this on your "Saturday", whatever that is for you!), and I hope you are enjoying being in the present moment, at least a little bit.

Take a breath.

Let your shoulders drop from your ears, belly soften a bit.

Close your eyes.

What self-care do you need today?

What self-care did you do for yourself this week? If you didn't do any, think back again - did you eat a healthy meal, go for a walk, light a candle, watch your favourite TV show?

All of these things are self care, so if you did any of these at least on one day this week, give yourself a pat on the back and tell yourself (preferably out loud!) Well Done!

If you didn't, don't give yourself grief.

Either way, let's take today to think of ways you can integrate self care into your daily life next week, and resolve to yourself to take good care of yourself next week!

Try a yoga class, do a little 10-minute workout, try meditation or mindfulness, plant a seed for your garden, give yourself a moment of calm from your hectic days - you might find it reduces anxiety, as well.
